After I got back from Bangkok and gave out all the stuff I bought for others, I came to realise that I didn’t really get much stuff for myself.
Here’s a list of stuff that I got:
Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck, panda screen wiper, 1 pair of flats, 3 sets of rings, 2 Naraya Bags, a card holder, a coin pouch, a handphone case, a dust cover, a dress, 3 tops and 3 pairs of denim shorts.
Is really not that much, considering the fact that I went to Bangkok?
Nonetheless, I must admit that I did go a little overboard and bought quite a number of make-ups during this trip. So with that, I thought I’ll do a mini beauty haul from Bangkok.
Basically I only shop at 2 places.. Watsons and Boots. So happy to spot Boots in Thailand. (It’s something like “Watsons” in the UK, so they have beauty brands like Maybelline, Revlon and even Soap & Glory!)
First up, I’ve two Revlon nail polishes! 430 Whimsical and 441 Radiant
They’re sort of special because, if you look through the range of Revlon nail polishes here, then you’ll notice that Singapore don’t carry any of the glitters nail polishes yet. So I’m kind of excited when I spot these two glitters nail polishes. Definitely a must buy expecially since they’re only 139 baht each. Approximately S$5.60.
Next is this L’Oreal Lash Architect 4D mascara. I remember wanting to get this mascara when it first came out months ago. But I put it off because firstly, the price. This mascara came with a whopping price tag of S$27.90 in local Watsons. Secondly, because mr.bf was laughing at me when I first told him I want to try out this mascara. Saying how girls always want to get the item just because of the fanciful name.
However because it was only 299 baht (approx S$12) in Bangkok Watsons, I thought it was really too good to miss!
Then I also picked up a concealer from Maybelline which I’ve heard a lot of good things about (Also because it’s cheaper in Bangkok as compared to here) and a L’Oreal anti-shine mattifying primer.
I’ve loved the L’Oreal Base Magique smoothing primer, so I’m really curious to see how this primer works. Hopefully, it’ll really help my face to stay matte.
Next, I’ve two items from Lioele.. I’ve been searching for this particular Korea beauty brand ever since I went to the first Watsons store in Bangkok and eventually found it in the third stores that I went to (in MBK).
I’ve been using the Water Drop BB for the past few days and so far I’ve really mixed feeling regarding it.
Have yet to try the powder, but I really love the packaging of it. Glad that I managed to spot the different and got the one for oil control because I believe they’ve another one for dry skin that is in the exact same packaging.
I can actually get Lioele products in Singapore through this website, or there is even a store at Bugis Village that carry a range of Lioele products. But I believe it’s about 50% cheaper when I get it from Watsons in Bangkok.
Lastly, three more products that was a last minute purchase from the Duty Free area before we took our flight back to Singapore.
Got a box of two Maybelline One By One mascaras, which came with a free pencil eyeliner. (I kept one and gave the other mascara to my sis) That is another mascara that I’ve heard good things about and I only managed to spot it in the airport.
Also got myself a translucent lip gloss from Maybelline because I can’t seem to find any other drugstore brands that carry a clear lip gloss and I refuse to pay such a high price for one that is from MAC.
I’m serious. Revlon, L’Oreal, Maybelline, ZA, Canmake.. I believe none of them sell a totally clear, non-glitter / shimmer lip gloss in Singapore and that’s so fustrating when I tried to look for one.
Finally, my last purchase, which also happens to be my most expensive purchase, is a new foundation from Chanel.
I know recently Chanel came out with the Perfection Lumier (in replacement of the Pro Lumier) but I really wanted to try out the Vitalumier Aqua.
I’ve yet to try it, since I’ve been using the Lioele Water Drop BB lately, but I’m really excited to see how this works on my skin. Talking about that, I’m really worried that the shade that I’ve got (B10) might be too light for me. Because from what I read, most people uses B20 and above?
I might kill myself if B10 doesn’t match with my skin tone especially since this was such an expensive foundation.
