Marina Barrage / Satay by the Bay

March 2, 2015

What do you do when you ran out of ideas on what to do?

You redo things that you used to do.

One example for that was to go for kite flying at Marina Barrage. (The last time we did that was more than two years ago!)

No matter how good you think you are, unforeseen things do happen. Things like landing the kite on top of a tree.

And trying to pull it all the way up to third storeys.

Ever since the last time the kite flew away and got submerged into the water, I’ve developed a phobia for kite flying. Hence most of the time, I rather step aside than struggling to control the kite under the strong wind.

Finally, it was time to keep the kite and head off for dinner! As Satay by the Bay is just a short distance (10 mins walk?) away, we decided to head there for our dinner.

It was our first time there and surprisingly there are quite a number of stalls and plenty of seats. You can find a few of them selling identical food (carrot cake, hokkien mee, satays, etc).

Oyster Omelette – Checked!

Fried Carrot Cake – Checked!

BBQ Chicken Wings – Checked!

Chicken Satays – Checked!

Paid less than S$30 for dinner.

Unhealthy? Undoubtedly.

Satisfying? Absolutely!

As a way to burn off the excess calories intake, we took a stroll down to Marina Bay Sands.

No editing was required for the pictures. The night view was undeniably beautiful!
